Covid-19 Travel Advice

Travelling to Albany is subject to the border arrangements and control by Western Australia's Government based on public health advice. The WA borders will be opened to International and Interstate travelers as of Thursday the 3rd of March at 12:01am. For more information on travelling to WA click here

Advice for Travellers

Travelling within Western Australia has no restrictions; the State Government has implemented measures to contain and minimise the risk of an outbreak. For more regular updates on these changes click here

  • SafeWA app: This is an efficient and safe way to record patron and visitor contact details to check-in using the app. Every venue in WA must collect details of patrons attending their premises, including customers, contractors and visitors. The use of this app is not mandatory, but it is encouraged.  Download the SafeWA app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store now.
  • Services WA app: The ServiceWA app allows you to activate and access various state government services in one convenient location.
  • Travelling from interstate: Travel is permitted into and around WA from interstate and New Zealand, depending on where travellers have come from. They are also subject to conditions, including completing a G2G PASS declaration before entry. The latest information for border-controlled travel can be found here.

  • The Small Business Development Corporation has established a COVID-19 assistance centre to provide advice and guidance on managing the impacts of COVID-19. The service can be accessed by contacting 133 140 from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm on weekdays or visiting the small business advice website.
  • Business Great Southern can advise and support local businesses. 
  • WA Recovery Plan Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the Government, returned the budget to surplus, and WA was the only state in Australia reducing debt. As a result, WA has the flexibility to respond decisively to an economic crisis. Visit the Great Southern Recovery plan.

The Australian Government is providing financial assistance to Australians to support them through the Coronavirus. This assistance includes income support payments, payments to help households and temporary early releases of superannuation.
